They are both all about connecting women to their power.  Women are women whether they are in service or are civilians.  We share so many of the same issues.  We choose to help and support each other.

Has Linda Franklin ever been in the military?
No, and as a matter of fact, Linda was born in Canada and is now a dual citizen.   She began Shining Service when women serving in Afghanistan started emailing her.  They were reading The Real Cougar Woman blog and told her how much they appreciated the strong female message she was delivering.  The rest is history.

Is Shining Service Worldwide™  a Not-For-Profit Organization?
Shining Service Worldwide™ is a Special Project of United Beacon’s Veterans House, which is a not-for-profit organization. Beacon House is the Fiscal Sponsor of Shining Service Worldwide™ which enables us to accept contributions and grants for our military makeovers and mentoring projects.  All of our financial transactions are handled under the strict supervision of Beacon House and the Internal Revenue Code for 501-C charitable organizations.

How can I get involved?

You can get involved in several different ways:

• sponsor a woman or (women) for the makeover and mentoring program
• become a strategic partner for our beauty makeover and mentoring program
• sell The Shining Service Bracelet™ supporting women in the military
• we are looking for executive women and military women to mentor
• become a salon partner for our beauty makeovers
• donations
